Noctua - Bild

Product discontinued.

The classic NF-R8 80mm fan helped to found Noctua’s reputation as a top-tier manufacturer of premium quality quiet cooling components and still impresses users with its exquisite quietness and superb performance. The new PWM version features Noctua’s novel, custom designed PWM IC for fully automatic control and ultra-low power consumption. Equipped with Noctua’s signature SSO bearing and topped off with a 6 years manufacturer’s warranty, the NF-R8 PWM is a proven premium choice for the highest demands.

Focused Flow Proven NF-R8 Design
Tens of thousands of quiet cooling enthusiasts swear by Noctua’s classic NF-R8. Its impressive quietness, excellent performance and impeccable, time-tested quality made the R8 a default choice for 80mm quiet cooling.

PWM Custom designed PWM IC with SCD
Supporting fully automatic PWM speed control, the NF-R8 PWM uses Noctua’s novel, custom designed NE-FD1 PWM IC that integrates Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD) technology. By providing smoother torque impulses, SCD suppresses PWM switching noises and thus makes the fan quieter at lower speeds. button

LNA Low-Noise Adaptor
The NF-R8 PWM is supplied with a Low-Noise Adaptor (L.N.A.) that reduces the maximum fan speed from 1800 to 1300rpm. The L.N.A can be used either to run the fan at a fixed speed of 1300rpm or to cap the maximum speed when using automatic PWM control.

Cabling Options Extensive Cabling Options
The fan’s short 20cm primary cable minimises cable clutter in typical applications while the supplied 30cm extension provides extended reach when necessary. Both cables are fully sleeved and a 4-pin y-cable allows to connect a second NF-R8 fan to the same PWM fan header for automatic control.

SSO-Bearing SSO-Bearing
Combining the proven concept of hydrodynamic bearing with an additional magnet that supports the self-stabilisation of the rotor axis, Noctua’s time-tested SSO-Bearing technology has become synonymous with supremely quiet operation and exceptional long-term stability. button

Warranty 6 years manufacturer’s warranty
Noctua fans are renowned for their impeccable quality and outstanding longevity. Like all Noctua fans, the NF-R8 PWM features an MTBF rating of more than 150.000 hours and comes with a full 6 years manufacturer’s warranty.

Test verdict: "For a Mini-ITX CPU cooler, the Noctua NH-L12 is somewhat of a luxury product. But like any luxury item, this heat sink comes with all the bells and whistles. While the price might be high compared to competing coolers, the NH-L12’s quality, configurability and extras make this cooler a value nonetheless." (Thomas Soderstrom, Tom's Hardware)

(Dennis Heinze, hardwarepoint.net)

Test verdict: "Uzun lafın kısası ufak form faktörde bir bilgisayar topluyorsanız ve size ram, ekran kartı, kasa uyumuyla sıkıntı yaşatmayacak bir hava soğutma çözümü arıyorsanız NH-U9S ye bakmanızı mutlaka tavsiye ederim. Zira şu an piyasada pek alternatifi ortada gözükmüyor. Altı sene garantide cabası." (Ali Emre Alıcı, Donanimhaber Forum)

Test verdict: "Noctuas jüngste Sprösslinge glänzen mit den üblichen Werten des Herstellers. Hervorragende Verarbeitung und Kompatibilität, einem wirklich tollen Montagesystem, bei welchem sich so mancher Anbieter eine Scheibe abschneiden könnte und einer guten Leistungsfähigkeit."
