The NF-S12A fans are a great alternative as a replacement to case fans and heat sinks, Acoustically Noctua fans always deliver, the NF-S12A series are extremely quiet during operation and me personally wouldn’t use the low noise adaptors included by the fact that Noctua fans run quiet whatever their RPM happens to be. The test results show that there’s not that much difference between the Cooler Master stock fan but you have to remember that the NF-S12A fans run at a lower RPM and quieter which Noctua is trying to achieve, and does so well. Pricing for the Noctua NF-S12A fans come in at just under £20 here in the UK, which is about normal for a Noctua fan. For some it may be expensive but high quality and performance always comes at a cost so it may deter some, but if you’re a silent freak then Noctua is a sure choice.
