K8 Mounting-Kit
Using K8 Mounting-Kit, the NH-U12P, NH-C12P and NH-U9B can be installed on older AMD K8 systems (socket 939, 940 and 754).
The new NH-U12DO and NH-U9DO are tailor-made solutions for use on Socket F and can also be installed on K8 systems.
Owners of the NH-U12P, NH-C12P or NH-U9B can order the K8 & Socket F Mounting-Kit for free using this form. A proof-of-purchase of the NH-U12P, NH-C12P or NH-U9B is required.
Please note that a standard K8 / Socket F backplate is required for installation and not supplied by Noctua because most mainboards are shipped with these backplates. All ASRock socket 939/754 mainboards are thus incompatible because they come without standard K8 backplates.
