Conclusion:
The Noctua NH-D14 is a costly investment - likely something I myself would have even been hesitant to make before seeing it's performance. After some serious play time with this cooler, it's left me blown away. The NH-D14 simply offers the best cooling I have ever seen from a silent cooler, and surprisingly startling results when put up against the numbers I've seen from some 'performance' coolers as well.
