To my ear, this fan is dead silent unless I place it approximately 3" from my ear, and then I can only hear the rush of air as it comes out my other ear... heh Seriously, I had my wife listen with her mother's ears that can hear a candy wrapper rustle through three walls and two comforters. She confirms the silence.
