NH-C14
From the results above you can see that the NH-C14 is certainly a capable cooler, keeping up with and at stock clock speeds even managing to beat the Corsair H50 closed loop liquid cooler by a couple of degrees, though after that the Corsair had the edge. Even with only a single fan running and the Ultra Low Noise Adaptor fitted, the NH-C14 still considerably beat the stock AMD cooler. After fitting the Low Noise Adaptor to the cooler (900 RPM fan speed), the temperatures increased by around a few degrees under load, using the Ultra Low Noise Adaptor (750 RPM) increased the temperatures again but only by a small amount as with the L.N.A compared to standard 1200 RPM. Even without the L.N.A or U.L.N.A this cooler is quiet, a lot quieter than I had expected for the size of the fans. Not once was the noise noticable over the case fans.
"Overall this cooler did very well. It gives you excellent cooling performance and the option to create more space under or above the cooler by removing a fan for people without a lot of case space. Even with both the fans installed this cooler isn't quite as tall as some other high-end air coolers. Everything in this package is high quality, down to the thermal paste, the cooler itself, the cables etc." (Nic Wilson, XSReviews.co.uk)
