NF-F12 PWM
Despite running at 35%, the Adda fan is still more audible than the other three fans in the test. It's acceptable, and pretty good, but just not as quiet as the others. The temperatures however, whilst also acceptable are not great when compared with the rest. The Scythe Slipstream at 75% power runs practically silent and does very well in this test. The two Noctua fans however perform slightly better at their respective speeds. [...] The Noctua NF-F12 120mm PWM Fan is a great fan that can perform well in many situations, but is designed for restrictive applications such as CPU Coolers and watercooling radiators. Like most Noctua items it is clearly engineered and manufactured extremely well, with obvious items such as Low Noise Adapters, modular cabling and rubber anti-vibration pads integrated on each corner mount point. Not so obvious features are the Vortex Control Notches, the Stepped Inlet Design and the Focus Flow System. The Noctua NF-F12 120mm PWM Fan also uses an SSO2 Bearing with a metal bearing shell, and Noctua's custom-designed PWM IC.
"The Noctua NF-F12 120mm PWM Fan comes with a lot of extras, is very quiet and far less annoying than most fans, but it's performance is right up there with other low speed fans." (Scott Harness, Viperlair.com)
