The overclocking tests we ran were purely made just as a comparison to other CPU coolers we’ve already reviewed at Skratchwiz PC and in an ideal world the NH-L12 wouldn’t be used to cool an overclocked CPU. Even with that said the cooling performance of the NH-L12 with the two fans did actually surprise us and it still managed to keep our i5 2500k CPU within safe delta temperatures, however when removing the 120mm fan and only using the one 92mm fan we did see a significant increase in temperature and it failed our stress tests and I wouldn’t recommend using the one fan to cool a overclocked CPU.

If I was building a small form factor PC and I wanted great cooling and quietness I would definitely recommend buying the NH-L12 because at £41 it’s well worth every penny!!
