NH-L9i
We are going to compare the Noctua NH-L9i vs the Phanteks PH-TC90LS. 3,3GHz is the stock speed of the 2500K, we can see that with the Noctua we dropped quite a bit vs the Phanteks cooler. When boosting the vCore and multiplier a bit we raised the MHz count with 300MHz and that also increased the heat output from the cpu. The Noctua was able to handle it without any problems, it really suprised me how well the low profile cooler performs.
"This is a very nice low profile cpu cooler it was extremely easy to install and performance has been more than expected out of this unit. 48$ is what you end up paying for this unit so it is not a horrible price for a high end unit. I think Noctua has done it again, they have delievered a high performing cpu cooler for a decent price. I don’t mind at all recommending this unit as I know it will perform well in pretty much all low HTPC setups." (Niko Lupala, rbmods.com)
