NF-R8
What Noctua do is design the fan for its size and purpose. Rather than getting the generic shape of a fan and sizing it to the usual dimensions (80, 92 and 120mm), they modify the design to be the best for its size. It's awesome to see that at least someone has put this much effort into something so simple. [...] In my case, even at stock speeds it's inaudible above the sound of a high-end (8800 or x1950) graphics card. The adaptors are pointless if your case contains a graphics card of this sort, but if you have a passively cooling PC, then the adaptors can really keep the decibels from interfering with your DVD watching.
"80mm fans are slowly leaving the market place for PC's thanks to the low noise and high output of larger fans. However, if you are looking for the perfect smaller fan for your Shuttle PC, or media centre, the Noctua NF-R8 does a sterling job. This fan will last you a while with its innovative bearing type and highly researched blade geometry. The NG-R8 is a solid buy." (Steve Parker, XSReviews.co.uk)
