NH-U12S,NH-U14S
During our testing, we have seen above-average performance from both models when everything is stock settings. But when things are turned up a little like the voltage and BCLK, both coolers shine. When dual fans are used, both coolers top the charts in our overclocking tests. When only using a single fan, the U14S came in third place. It was only beaten by its little brother using two fans and itself also using an additional fan. [...] When it comes to noise, the larger Noctua NH-U14S is the winner. When the fan rotation was upped, the silence remained. In the case of the U12S, we did hear howl of the fans at 1500 RPM but it was far from a disturbance. This was the case with or without the second fan being added.
"Not is not only the performance that is something to like about these coolers but also their size. These two coolers are taller than they are wider. This combination makes things a lot easier when it comes to deciding on what memory modules to use in your build. Interference with the GPU is non-existent even when using a GPU back plate."
