Noctua has added two great performing cooolers in their lineup. It all starts with the packaging; very classy executed and everything imaginable is in the box, from the cooling paste to voltage reducers to make the setup totally inaudible. The SecuFirm2 mounting mechanism leaves no options open either, being very sturdy and easy to assemble. Optional mounts for legacy platforms are available free of charge via your Noctua contact. [...] the NH-U12S is a great performer. For it's size and even being equipped with just a single 120mm PWM Fan, it's able to match and even surpass the performance of some of the competitors bigger sized offerings. Motherboard and RAM compatibility, are due to the dimensions of this cooler, excellent. The NH-U12S will be more than sufficient enough to cool down your daily overclocked setups. Even on our 4500MHz running Hexacore Intel i7-3960X the NH-U12S remained stiff competition for the other air coolers in the roundup.
