There’s a three degree difference between the single and dual fan configuration once you’ve overclocked the rig and kept it on peak load. With 100% load on all four cores and with full fan speed of 1500 RPM, it seems obvious that this cooler wouldn’t need a dual fan setup. That’s probably the reason why Noctua may have not bundled the second NF-F12 fan by default, but it provided a clips for the second fan should you choose to use a different combination of fans.
"At the end of the day, you’re getting a complete set with everything you’ll need backed with a six-year warranty. Both the fans and the heatsink are of premium quality. The aluminium fins are anything but thin as found in many other CPU coolers. As far as accessories and add-ons are concerned, Noctua has given everything you need so that people won’t have a sentence with a “but”." (Roshan Ashraf Shaikh, HardwareBBQ.com)
