The Noctua NH-D15 was much anticipated and I was wondering how the engineers/designers would be able to top the NH-D14. As it turns out, it looks like it was a case of efficiency via newer technology. The new NF-A15 fans and widened fin stack has meant that the NH-D15 can provide improved thermal performance with a decrease in the fan speeds and acoustic profile.

"The NH-D15 is a great option for those chasing a super quiet rig and builders who don't want to use closed loop water coolers but still want to chase heavy overclocks.
