NH-D9L
We know Noctua for some of the best air coolers out there, but normally their coolers are quite large and are made for full-size PC builds. It is much harder to shrink down an air cooler and still have decent performance.Well it looks like Noctua was able to do that with the NH-D9L cooler. The NH-D9L has been a pretty solid performer, chucking out some nice cooling performance and some quite nice looks. This makes it perfect for a small form factor gaming machine where you still want that great performance and might even be overclocking your processor. Now on the other hand if you wanted this cooler for say a HTPC setup it does come with a low noise adapter which will slow the fan speed down making the cooler much more quiet. Reliability should also be excellent as I have seen with every Noctua heatsink I have used in the past five or six years, which retains performance very well over time. As far as dual tower style coolers go,with a small form factor in mind this is the quietest cooler I have tested yet. I have to say I am very impressed,to say the least.
"If you are looking for a smaller air CPU cooler this is definitely one that you should check out." (Ambrosidou Nat, XtremeSystems.org)
