NF-P12
After being impressed with the last batch of Noctua fans we cast our gaze over here at Elite Bastards, our feelings here largely mirror what we found before. While Noctua's offerings may not be 'tricked out' with LEDs or fancy names and the like, the build quality on offer is absolutely top notch and the research and design time that has gone into the NF-P12 is readily apparent. At the end of the day, the proof is in the numbers, and the fact that the NF-P12 shows itself to be quieter than its predecessors despite shifting more air and thus offering better cooling speaks volumes for its design. In real-world terms, it's extremely quiet even without the use of either of the supplied low noise adapters, and the addition of either of those adapters will go even further to the creation of a near-silent PC if you want to go down that route.
"In all however, we have to praise Noctua for the NF-P12, which raises the bar yet further over their already impressive NF-S12 parts. While its cost may be prohibitive for many, we salute the innovation on show here in what has proved itself to be an elegantly designed piece of hardware. Yes, it may seem strange to think of a system fan in terms of 'elegance', but that really is the only word I can find for it." (Andy Hanley, EliteBastards.com)
