NH-U9S
This is the best of two worlds. Cliché I know, but for now it holds true. Earlier I mentioned the two new models of low profile tower coolers recently introduced by Noctua. Previously I noted how the low profile the NH-D9L dual tower cooler could hold its own against larger tower cooler models. We can certainly make the same inference about the NH-U9S tower cooler. The low profile design for the NH-U9S is deceiving, with the five heat pipes bent to fit into the aluminum dissipation fins in a manner to allow for an undisturbed air flow across these heat pipes. With this design the number of aluminum fins is increased, aiding heat dissipation from the air flow. The NF-A9 Premium Fan is designed to provide greater air flow with higher fan speed but minimal increase in noise. The NH-U9S is firmly held in place using the SecuFirm2 mounting system, and allows for access to the adjacent RAM and PCIe slots. The kit also provides an extra set of fan mounting clips for a dual fan setup, and contains enough NT-H1 thermal compound for several reapplications on CPU surfaces.
"Noctua has provided computer enthusiasts with a thermal solution in a low profile package designed to fit multiple applications. The NH-U9S tower cooler also has a six year warranty and a mounting solution supporting most current socket attachments, with a free kit available for last-generation sockets. Priced at $59.90 MSRP, a search on the Internet finds the NH-U9S at a reasonable $57.99 at many e-tailers, making this tower cooler an excellent choice for many computer setups."
