NF-P12
When the Noctua fans were installed and running I was really impressed at how quiet they were compared to the Antec tricool fans they were replacing. The antec fans at 12v would start to give me a headache after prolonged periods of use with them, so as a result I ran them at 6v during normal use. But the Noctuas could be used at 12v with no side effects. As I wanted to see just how quiet the Noctua fans could go, I turned down the voltage as much as I could. At 6v (in this case via mobo control, but the UNLA achieves a similar effect), the fan becomes inaudible in all but the quietest of rooms. It still provides enough airflow to keep my system cool.
"With testing the Noctua fans today I have been treated to a taste of really quiet computing. In fact I am so happy with the performance of the NF-P12; that I have bought 4 more and kitted my whole case with them, the fans that I had before were just that bit too loud (even on 6v) in that they would annoy me after a while. The day after I kitted out my rig with the NF-P12's, I had been using my PC for an hour when I realised how quiet the machine was. A PC you can forget is there; that's my idea of bliss."
