The NH-L12S is one more great cooler from Noctua. It’s a bit different than we used to see but for sure will find users interested in this type of design. If you wish to use the cooler in low profile mode then I recommend to use low profile memory kit as taller memory heatsinks won’t let to install the fan. In our tests we had to install the fan on the top what is not changing cooler’s performance much but let to install tall memory modules like Ballistix Elite or G.Skill Trident Z. Noctua is offering six-year warranty on the NH-L12S what is also not a surprise as every Noctua cooler has the same warranty and it’s the best option on the market. We had no issues with installation on the mini ITX motherboard and also performance of the cooler was high in all tests. Even less advanced users won’t have any issues with installation of NH-L12S on any platform.
