NH-U12S SE-AM4
The NH-U12S SE-AM4 keeps to what we expect from Noctua and it had no problem keeping our Ryzen 5 1600 nice and cool. It could easily handle all Ryzen 5 CPUs as well as Ryzen 7 models. If you wanted to you can add an extra fan for even more performance, Noctua includes extra fan clips to attach it to the heatsink.
On top of its great performance it is really easy to install. That’s one thing I’ve always liked about Noctua coolers is that all of them use the SecuFirm2™ mounting system, which makes installation a breeze. I also wanted to mention that Noctua’s instructions are always easy to follow and they do include a screwdriver with every cooler.
This cooler is pretty compact and small, making it ideal for most tower builds. Since it offers 100% RAM compatibility you won’t have to worry about the heatsink or fan getting in the way of your memory or components around your CPU socket. Given its size you can easily install the cooler with your motherboard already in your case. The 120 mm fan is pretty quiet during operation and Noctua even includes a low-noise adapter if you want almost silent operation.
There really is nothing I can say bad about the NH-U12S SE-AM4.
"When someone asks me about an air cooler Noctua is always at the top of my list, especially when it comes to performance. Noctua does air cooling right and has done it for a very long time." (Bob Buskirk, ThinkComputers.com)
