The NF-A12x25 fan series incorporates a liquid crystal polymer which Noctua calls Sterrox. This material gives the fan blades exceptional tensile strength, low thermal expansion coefficient and excellent dimensional stability. These properties translate into the ability to design a tip clearance of only 0.5mm, reducing the excess air flow over the blade tip.
