Ever since the first Noctua coolers we've tested way back in 2005, we've been eagerly waiting for their next one. Well, I'm glad the wait is over ... and it didn't disappoint either. In fact, I was extremely pleased with the thermal performance of the Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU cooler. It produced very good temperatures both during idle and at full load. [...] What's really impressive is the noise level. Noctua's fans are extremely quiet, spinning at an average speed of ~1,300rpm and producing a nosie level of around 19-20 dB(A) ... that's hardly audible. [...] At those noise levels ... you can seriously hear a pin drop. It's just absolutley amazing how Noctua have manage to get their fans to spin so quiet ... while producing enough air flow. Simply amazing.
"The Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler did not disappoint us at all. It offers excellent thermal performance and extremely low noise level. Noctua have continued its excellent reputation for producing one of the quietest CPU coolers we've ever come across. It will cost a lot more than your average cooler, but if you cherish silence, then the Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler is the ONLY answer for you." (Winston Chim, CPU3D.com)
