Overall, the Noctuan NH-P1 is quite an interesting cooler novelty, but in practice it cannot be recommended without reservation. In a fully passive mode, it offers market-leading performance and is also understandably significantly more efficient than active-cooled coolers without their own fans. However, despite its good performance in its class, the limits of passive heat transfer are visible, and with the cooler, it is not possible to use very warm processors without fans without possible underclocking or voltaging, allowing the cooler itself to set its own limits on what can be built. With the fans, the performance of the NH-P1 will certainly improve and thus expand the range of applications for the cooler, but in practice it will not be able to handle coolers designed for active cooling. In practice, the Noctuan NH-P1 can only be recommended to be used completely inactive or with silent fans running at very low speeds.
