The new generation NF-A14x25 G2 PWM fans are designed on the building block of NF-A14 PWM and NF-A12x25 PWM fans, hence they carry the same technologies and design as on the NF-A12x25 while retaining the basic footprint of the frame from NF-A14 PWM fans. This is why Noctua did not opt for a new name; instead used G2 showing the second generation of the NF-A14 PWM fans. This would also help in the easy identification of the desired fans.
