Noctua ha trabajado muy bien y ha realizado correctamente su trabajo con esta nueva gama, más destinada a equipos tipo servidores que estén encendidos mucho tiempo, dado a que posee un buen caudal de aire y una larga duración. También debido a sus revoluciones, ofrecen más ruido que su anterior gama Redux, un dato quizás importante a la hora de adquirir uno de estos IndustrialPPC. Noctua también ha mejorado en el aspecto de la personalización, pues ha mejorado, permitiendo añadir colores personalizados a nuestros ventiladores IndustrialPPC gracias a la gama de accesorios Chromax, la cual nos ha encantado.

Como já foi dito as Noctua IndustrialPPC são ventoinhas para quem pretende o maior desempenho possível e que aguentem qualquer tipo de ambiente, são ventoinhas com uma construção fabulosa e com um alto desempenho. Nos nossos testes no Noctua NH-D15S as ventoinhas apresentaram bons resultados, sendo que quem pretender silencio estas ventoinha são imediatamente excluídas e com isto quero dizer que o nível de ruído pode-se tornar bastante incomodativo. A nível de acessórios poderiam incluir um adaptador para reduzir a voltagem e até mesmo acessórios para fixar as mesmas.

The Noctua Redux and IndustrialPPC ranges add a much needed customisation to their range. Of course, the Redux fans are of an older design, and the performance may suffer as a result. However, the greys of the Redux and the black of the IndustrialPPC range enables system builders to more thoroughly theme their build and thus the sacrifice in performance or price may be considered worth it. The IndustrialPPC range also adds a ruggedness that some systems will require – water and dust resistance will enable significantly longer lifetimes with a higher MTBF.

Noctua con la serie Industrial propone il frutto di anni di ricerche per proporre sul mercato un prodotto di massima qualità con standard tipici dei prodotti destinati ad usi professionali. Un prodotto con prestazioni di prim’ordine e caratteristiche di rilievo che lasciano esterrefatti dalla mole d’aria che riescono a muovere, il tutto con un rumore che è si elevato, ma che grazie al design unico delle pale, è meno fastidioso di quanto si pensi. Perchè un conto è misurare i dB, un’altro analizzarne il reale fastidio e, come sappiamo, a pari dB possiamo avere diversa percezione del rumore. Noctua anche questa volta ha rasentato la perfezione, dopo averle testate in diverse situazioni possiamo dire di trovarci di fronte ad un prodotto davvero fantastico, che rispetta gli standard qualitativi eccelsi a cui ci ha abituato la casa austriaca, un prodotto che, grazie allo standard “industriale” ed alle protezioni presenti possiamo definire come un punto di riferimento per qualità e durata. Certo queste certificazioni e garanzie hanno un prezzo, ma siamo sicuri che spendendo meno risparmieremmo?

Jumping right into it and there is no denying the performance the industrialPPC range has to offer. Not only did they out-perform the fans I tested them against, they have a lot of other features that will allow them to perform better than your average fans. For one, the IP67 rating not only means they are water and dust proof, this also adds longevity to the fans as nothing will be getting in the motor and essentially slowing it down over time. Not only did they knock a good few degrees of my CPU temps during the test, they were also noticeably quiter than the fans they were tested against. When I say noticeably, I do in fact mean that, I could actually hear that they were a lot quieter than the other fans on test at the time.

Le ventole Noctua offrono come sempre un ottimo connubio di potenza e di professionalità. Inserendo queste ventole le temperature all’interno del case sono scese di circa 10 gradi, passando da 55 gradi a 44.

Por esta serie de características la mayor utilidad que le podemos dar a estos ventiladores es en las refrigeraciones, ya sea en un disipador tradicional o en el radiador de una refrigeración líquida debido a su combinación de presión y flujo de aire. Y ciertamente Noctua sabe a lo que juega, estos son ventiladores con un claro objetivo presión y flujo de aire, si eso es lo que buscamos son nuestra mejor opción. Pocas alternativas comparables vamos a encontrar en el mercado a estos productos.

Una vez realizada la batería de pruebas, podemos decir, que la serie Industrial PPC de Noctua, cumplen a la perfección las características y especificaciones descritas. Las pruebas han constado de medir el nivel sonoro de los cuatro ventiladores a sus máximas velocidades, con tal de poder obtener los niveles sonoros máximos, mínimos y la media entre ambos.
Test verdict: "En conclusión, estamos ante unos magníficos ventiladores de alto rendimiento, pensados para equipos de alta gama, industriales o para los mas entusiastas, sin importarles el nivel sonoro del equipo. Kaip matome, paspartintas procesorius išties įkaito nemažai. Be to šiuo metu Lietuvoje karščiai, todėl kambario temperatūra siekė 30 laipsnių. Ramybės būsenoje visi ventiliatoriai rodė apylygius rodmenis išskyrus NF-A14 IndustrialPPC 3000 PWM. Dėl savo dydžio ir didelio sukimosi greičio, jis nuo savo brolių pabėgo į priekį rodydamas keliais laipsniais mažesnę temperatūrą. Apkrovos metu matome, kad vėl gi NF-A14 IndustrialPPC 3000 PWM pabėgo į priekį aplenkdamas NF-SB12B Redux 1200 PWM ventiliatorių net gi 8 laipsnių skirtumu. Taip atsitiko dėl to, kad NF-SB12B Redux 1200 PWM iš visų ventiliatorių turėjo mažiausia maksimalų apsisukimų skaičių, na ir žinoma dydis irgi įtakojo rezultatus. Nors ir NF-A14 IndustrialPPC 3000 PWM parodė geriausią rezultatą, jis skleidė itin didelį triukšmą,kas nėra gerai. Triukšmas toks įkirus, kad po kurio laiko nebesinori naudotis kompiuteriu ir kuo greičiau dingti nuo ventiliatoriaus triukšmo.
Test verdict: "Noctua žengė protingą žigsnį pristatydama pigesnius ir geriau atrodančius Redux serijos ventiliatorius. Nors jie ir neparodė ir neaplenkė IndustrialPPC serijos ventiliatorių, tačiau dėl mažesnio triukšmo tai geras pasirinkimas. Kalbant apie IndustrialPPC seriją, taip tai puikų rezultatą generuojantys ventiliatoriai, tačiau dėl aukštų apsukų jie garsiai dirba, todėl siūlytume juos tik vartotojams triukšmas nėra faktorius." Can industrialPPC fans be used with fan controllers and resistor cables (Low-Noise Adaptors)?

Noctua recommends not to use industrialPPC fans with common PC fan controllers, resistor cables (Low-Noise Adaptors) or other devices such as potentiometers that work by applying (variable) resistance rather than actually generating different voltages such as a laboratory power supply does. Due to the higher internal resistance of the industrialPPC fans’ three phase motor, applying additional resistance will cause the fans not to start (e.g. with Low-Noise Adaptors) or to have high starting speeds (e.g. with most common PC fan controllers). Please note that the industrialPPC fans feature starting voltages between 5.5V and 6V and can be run at these voltages on devices such as laboratory power supplies or mainboard fan controllers which actually generate lower voltages rather than applying resistance. Noctua thus recommends to use either PWM or voltage based mainboard fan control or laboratory/industrial power supplies for controlling the speed of industrialPPC fans.

Can I use Low-Noise Adaptors for industrialPPC fans?

No, Low-Noise Adaptors are not compatible with Noctua’s industrialPPC series.

How can I check if my 4-pin fan header supports PWM?

Some mainboards feature 4-pin fan headers that actually don‘t use a PWM signal on Pin 4 to control the fan speed but rather reduce the voltage on Pin 2 (like a standard 3-pin fan header). As the fan speed at minimum voltage is usually higher than the speed at 20% PWM duty cycle, the fan can not reach as low minimum speeds under voltage control as under PWM control. Please refer to your mainboard manual to check whether or not your mainboard has 4-pin fan headers that control the fan speed by reducing voltage on Pin 2 rather than by changing the PWM duty cycle on Pin 4:

Note that mainboard manufacturers use different terms to indicate that Pin 4 is not being used for PWM control (e.g. “+5V”, “VCC” or “NC”), but if one of these terms is used, you can be sure that the fan header does not support PWM. If Pin 4 is described as “Speed Control” or “PWM” or the like, you can be sure that the fan header supports PWM.

Unfortunately, the description of Pin 2 is not always a clear indication as some manufacturers use terms such as “Fan PWR” or “Power” for both types of fan headers. However, if Pin 2 is described as “Speed Control”, you can also be sure that the fan header does not support PWM based speed control. If Pin 2 is described as “+12V”, this is a clear indication that the fan header supports PWM.

Please also note that in some cases, the descriptions of the pin layouts in the mainboard manuals may not be correct and some models actually allow you to switch the fan headers from voltage control mode to PWM control mode in the BIOS even though the pin descriptions do not indicate PWM support. We thus recommend to look for these options in the BIOS before taking other measures. In case of doubt, please contact your mainboard manufacturer.


If your mainboard features other 4-pin fan headers that use PWM for speed control, you can run multiple fans from these headers using Y-split cables. Make sure not to exceed the specified maximum power draw of the fan headers (usually 10-12W) though.
