Paste smo i usporedili na procesoru i7-8700K koji je radio na standardnih 4.3 GHz na svim jezgrama i uz pomoć Noctuinog D15 hladnjaka. Procesor smo opteretili OCCT-ovim testom u trajanju od sat vremena i iz HWInfo64 aplikacije pročitali temperature na najtoplijim jezgrama. U oba je slučaja to bila jezgra broj tri. Zanimljivo je za pogledati prosječnu maksimalnu temperaturu na svim jezgrama koja za H1 iznosi 68.66°C, a za H2 67.83°C.
Test verdict: "Noctua je izbacivanjem NT-H2 paste na tržište entuzijastima, overclockerima i naravno svima ostalima konačno donijela konkurentan proizvod i odličnu zamjenu za zastarjelu H1 pastu. NT-H2 was very easy to apply and demonstrated a better stability than the other greases and provides very satisfactory results straight out of the syringe. The Noctua NT-H2 thermal compound was a pleasure to work with. It was easy to apply and the performance was great right from the start. No burn-in time was needed with the NT-H2, unlike Arctic Silver products. One of the best things about the NT-H1 and now the NT-H2 is the fact that it does not require any break in periods. That means users can apply it directly and except long-term stability up to 5-years.

Per testare la nuova pasta termica Noctua NT-H2 abbiamo utilizzato il bollente i9-9900K insieme a diversi dissipatori, come il Noctua NH-D15 e NZXT Kraken X62. Come risultati abbiamo constato che la nuova pasta NT-H2 offre miglioramento medio di 1.3 ° C rispetto alla precedente versione.

La NT-H2 en cualquier de sus presentaciones es muy buena, ya que incluye lo necesario para su aplicación e información necesaria para saber que es lo que se esta utilizando, también facilita al usuario con la limpieza, agregando toallitas humanas para hacer la experiencia más agradable, la presentación de 10g cuenta con la pasta en jeringa y 10 toallitas húmedas y la presentación de 3.5g cuenta con la pasta en jeringa y 3 toallitas húmedas.

La nostra prova è stata effettuata sull'ultima revisione della build ITX realizzata in collaborazione con Fractal Design e GigaByte Italia, che può contare ora sulla CPU Ryzen 7 1700 di AMD, rinfrescata dal dissipatore Noctua NH-L9x65 SE-AM4, oltre che sulla fidata GPU Nvidia GTX 1070 in variante G1 Gaming prodotta da GigaByte. Per simulare un carico massimo sulla CPU, abbiamo applicato il classico overclock a 3.70GHz (1.375V) e registrato la massima temperatura ottenuta alla decima esecuzione consecutiva del benchmark multicore di Cinebench 15, il tutto tramite l'utility AMD Ryzen Master. Com'è possibile notare, la pasta termica NT-H1 ha ottenuto risultati prettamente comparabili con la MX-4 di Arctic (Ricordiamo, versione ante 2019). La nuova NT-H2 ha fatto registrare invece circa 1°C in meno rispetto alle due precedenti, classificandosi quindi al primo posto. Naturalmente bisogna considerare, dato comunque il range di rilevazione limitato, tali differenze - sopratutto tra la NT-H1 e la MX4 - non sono poi cotanto rilevanti, sopratutto perchè ci troviamo nel possibile range di errore dei sensori.

A pesar de que la NT-H1 seguía siendo una pasta térmica de primer nivel, un fabricante como Noctua que se dedica en exclusiva al mercado de la refrigeración no podía dejar pasar tanto tiempo sin renovarla, así que aquí tenemos la NT-H2 que no solo mejora el rendimiento, sino que además tiene una durabilidad mucho mayor (10 veces más) y han aprovechado para cambiar el formato y añadir sus nuevas toallitas específicas para limpiar el procesador y el disipador. ¿Se puede pedir algo más? Claro que sí: mejor rendimiento, incluyen las toallitas, y además mantienen el precio. Desde luego Noctua ha ganado muchos puntos con este lanzamiento, y es una pasta térmica que le recomendamos a todo el mundo.

Mit einem Blick auf das Testergebnis ist zu erkennen, dass die neue NT-H2 Wärmeleitpaste sich klar vor der NT-H1 platzieren konnte. Den größten Leistungsunterschied gibt es jedoch bei einer hohen Temperatur, wie sie beim Einsatz eines Luftkühlers erreicht wird. Mit der NT-H2 hat Noctua seine sehr gute NH-H1 Wärmeleitpaste durch konsequente Weiterentwicklungen nicht nur im Bereich der gebotenen Wärmeleiteigenschaften verbessern können, sondern auch im Bereich der Anwendung. Durch die geänderte Viskosität lässt sich die neue NT-H2 einfacher und schneller auftragen, als Noctuas erste Wärmeleitpaste.

Based on our testing, we observed a difference of 2.72°C favoring the NT-H2. This much of a difference coming from the thermal paste alone is splendid and it will definitely reflect on the graphs of the coolers’ testing.

Si vous êtes un grand passionné et qu’ils vous arrivent souvent de monter et démonter des PCs, ou du moins le système de refroidissement, le tube de pâte thermique Noctua NT-H2 10 grammes se montre parfait. En effet il inclut en plus 10 lingettes nettoyantes facilitant le nettoyage des cold plate et IHS avant un montage. Le tube de 3,5 grammes conviendra à ceux qui changent ou assemblent de temps en temps des systèmes, livré avec trois lingettes NA-SCW1.

Para testear la nueva pasta térmica Noctua NT-H2 hemos utilizado un Intel i7 6700K en diversos escenarios, tanto con un disipador Noctua NH-U12 como con una RL Thermaltake y hemos medido las temperaturas tanto en estrés como en reposo utilizando las dos pastas térmicas de Noctua. El resultado es que con la Noctua NT-H2 una mejora media de 0’6°C frente a su predecesora. Sabemos que, a priori, puede parecer un cambio despreciable pero hay que tener en cuenta que estamos utilizando como banco de pruebas un procesador relativamente pequeño de tamaño y con una carga térmica media, pero en cuanto estos parámetros van creciendo ésta pequeña mejora de temperaturas también lo hará y marcará una diferencia más notoria en los resultados. En lo referente a las Noctua NA-SCW1 poco hay que añadir a lo que ya hemos dicho, siendo cuidadosos con el doblado de las mismas y su utilización podremos limpiar a la perfección tanto el procesador como el disipador (o la bomba) con una sola toallita, de forma fácil, rápida y eficaz.

How should I remove and clean NT-H2?

Use the included NA-CW1 wipes or a paper towel moistened with isopropyl alcohol to clean. If slight residues remain after cleaning with NA-CW1 wipes, you can use a paper towel or tissue to polish. However, such residues are of visual concern only and will not impair performance. Also see our video tutorial on how to use NA-CW1 wipes. If you need further NA-CW1 wipes, please purchase the NA-SCW1 set (20 pieces).

Which method of application do you recommend for your thermal compounds?

Both our NT-H1 and NT-H2 are very easy to apply and generally don’t need to be spread out manually on the CPU. However, our recommendations differ slightly from paste to paste and from CPU size to CPU size, so please refer to our product manuals and video tutorials for detailed recommendations:

  • Why doesn’t Noctua specify thermal conductivity or thermal resistance of NT-H1 and NT-H2?

    While there are some standardised methods for testing the thermal conductivity or thermal resistance of thermal compounds, they do not always guarantee comparable results. What's more, many vendors have started to claim thermal resistance or thermal conductivity specifications that appear simply unrealistic in the light of standardised testing. Last but not least, real world performance of thermal compounds is affected by various other factors such as spreading properties, bond line thickness, mounting pressure or contact quality, so even if there was a common and reliable industry standard for testing the thermal conductivity or resistance of thermal pastes, it would not give customers a clear indication regarding the performance they can expect. For these reasons, Noctua has chosen not to publish specifications for thermal conductivity and resistance. Taking part in a game of claiming exaggerated specifications is not an option for us and we neither want to give specifications that, in the context of this practice, could appear misleading. Instead, we prefer to let independent reviewers judge the performance of our thermal compounds versus competing solutions in order to help customers in making an informed buying decision.
