As before, we have stress tested the CPU for 15 minutes and then the final temperature was used for the screenshot. The Arctic Silver 5 is on the left and Noctua’s NT-H1 is on the right. Although Noctua’s paste was warmer on average whilst the CPU was in idle, it is the Noctua which is 2°c cooler than the Arctic Silver 5 on cores 0 and 1. Cores 2 and 3 are 3°c cooler than when the Arctic Silver 5 was used.
Overall we are very impressed with Noctua’s NT-H1. If you’re looking for ease of installation or great temperatures, this is definitely the thermal compound for you. Your CPU will also run a little cooler compared to using other thermal compounds. We would highly recommend it over any other thermal compound. (Aaron Hothi, Hardwarespot.co.uk)
